What is a Blockchain Dedicated Server?

A dedicated blockchain server is a powerful, private bare metal server built to run node software 24/7. Unlike a small VPS, it has the two things every serious node requires: massive NVMe storage to hold an entire blockchain (which is often 1TB+) and high-throughput, unmetered bandwidth to constantly sync with thousands of peers. It is the secure, high-uptime foundation for staking, validation, and dApp development.

The "Sync & Stake" Trap: Why Cloud & VPS Fail

Running a node on shared platforms seems easy, but it's a trap of hidden costs, slow performance, and high risk.

Crippling Egress Fees

A full node is chatty and constantly syncs terabytes of data with peers. Cloud providers (like AWS or GCP) let you in for free but charge massive "egress fees" for this data transfer, leading to impossible-to-predict bills.

The "Storage Wall"

A full Ethereum archive node is over 1TB and growing. A cheap VPS doesn't have the space. Even if it did, the slow, shared I/O makes the initial sync take days or even weeks, instead of hours.

The "Slashing" Risk

For Proof-of-Stake (PoS) validators, uptime is money. A home ISP reset or a "noisy neighbor" on a VPS can take your node offline, causing you to be "slashed" — a penalty where you lose your staked crypto.

The iRexta Solution: Your High-Uptime, Flat-Fee Node

Our bare metal servers are the perfect solution, providing predictable costs and guaranteed performance.

Zero Egress Fees

Our unmetered bandwidth plans are perfect for blockchain. Pay one flat monthly fee and let your node sync 24/7. No surprise data transfer bills, ever.

Dedicated NVMe I/O

Get 100% of the disk performance. Our enterprise NVMe SSDs handle the high I/O of a full node, slashing your initial sync times from days to hours.

99.99% Uptime for Staking

Don't risk getting slashed. Our data center-grade redundant power and network provide the extreme reliability you need to protect your stake.

Full Root Access

You control your node. Install any client (Geth, Lighthouse, etc.), set up firewalls, and get a dedicated IP. Free DDoS protection included.

The Anatomy of a Powerful Node Server

Running a node is a specialized task. These three components are critical for performance and reliability.

1. Storage (The #1 Priority)

Blazing-Fast NVMe SSDs

This is the biggest bottleneck. A full sync involves millions of small, random read/writes. You must have enterprise-grade NVMe SSDs. We recommend 2TB of NVMe storage minimum for a full Ethereum node.

2. Network (The Lifeline)

Unmetered, High-Speed Port

Your node is your link to the decentralized web. A slow or capped connection is a critical failure point. A 1Gbps unmetered port is essential for 24/7 syncing and propagating transactions without fear of high fees.

3. RAM (The Cache)

High-Speed ECC Memory

A node caches a large amount of state data in memory. We recommend 32GB to 64GB of ECC RAM. ECC (Error-Correcting Code) memory prevents silent data corruption, which could corrupt your node's database and force a full resync.

Powering the Decentralized Web

Our bare metal servers are the perfect foundation for any on-chain application.

Run a Full Node

Support decentralization by running your own Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Monero node. Verify your own transactions with trustless security.

Run a Staking Validator

Secure Proof-of-Stake networks like Ethereum, Cardano, or Polkadot. Earn staking rewards backed by our 99.99% uptime guarantee.

dApp & API Hosting

Host the backend for your decentralized application or run a high-performance public API for your blockchain explorer or wallet.

Run Any Node, Any Client

Full root access means 100% compatibility with any blockchain client or platform.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cost and Performance. Cloud providers charge massive "egress fees" for the terabytes of data a node syncs, leading to huge, unpredictable bills. They also charge a premium for the high-speed (IOPS) storage you need. A dedicated server gives you dedicated NVMe I/O and unmetered bandwidth for a single, flat monthly fee.

A "full" (archive) node is over 1TB and growing fast. A "pruned" node is smaller but has less functionality. We strongly recommend a 2TB NVMe SSD at minimum to ensure you have room for growth and to handle the high I/O required for syncing.

"Slashing" is a penalty in Proof-of-Stake (PoS) systems where a validator (staker) is fined a portion of their staked crypto for being offline. Our dedicated servers prevent this by providing data center-grade 99.99% uptime with redundant power and networking, which is far more reliable than a home connection or a cheap VPS.

A lot, and it's constant. A busy node can easily use 5-10 Terabytes (TB) of data per month or more. This is why our unmetered bandwidth plans are essential for running a node cost-effectively.
